We Are More Alike

Beneath the skin, beyond the differing features and into the true heart of being, fundamentally, we are more alike, my friend, than we are unalike.

Jatiluwih

Jatiluwih, a name that translates as "amazing beauty", is a region in Bali where there are breath taking views of rice paddy fields.

The black and white checked poleng cloth, which symbolizes the opposing positive and negative (yin-yang) forces, is seen everywhere in Bali. Representing the cosmic duality, it has a special meaning for the Balinese.

Spasibo

A matryoshka doll refers to a set of wooden Russian nesting dolls of decreasing size placed one inside the other. Although the original piece was painted as a peasant woman dressed in the national costume, now the metaphor applies to any woman who unites in herself the love for all people who are dear to her, underlining the complexity of the feminine soul.
